Media Services:
Benedictine University’s sports information office is available throughout the year to accommodate any media requests. Any and all questions should be directed to Dave Beyer.
Press Row Seating:
Press Row seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. All credential requests should be made at least 24 hours prior to the start of the respective game and can be picked up at the general ticket booth prior to the contest. All passes are intended for working media only and are good only for the day of the game requested (unless otherwise indicated).
Game Day Services:
All media will be provided with a game program and/or roster, any pre-game notes, and cumulative statistics for both teams. Statistics will be available at halftime and at the conclusion of the game. Play-by-play will be available at the conclusion of the game, as well. A fax machine is also available in the sports information office after the game.
If you need complete game statistics faxed or e-mailed, please give fax numbers and e-mail addresses to a sports information representative as soon as possible before the game and the packets will be sent out immediately following the conclusion of the contest.
Radio/Internet Broadcasts:
Phone lines are available in the football press box, courtside on the upper concourse of the Rice Center, in the baseball press box and on the stadium upper deck for softball games. The football and baseball press box facilities have numerous data ports. Wireless arrangements can be made for football at least 7 working days ahead of game time. The phone and internet lines are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Permission to broadcast and any additional arrangements must be secured from the sports information office at least 48 hours prior.
Post-Game Interviews:
At the conclusion of each game and after a brief “cooling-off” period, coaches and players from both teams will be available to the media. There is no “official media room” and you may approach student-athletes and coaches after the “cooling off period” has elapsed. We ask that, under no circumstances, do media members enter the locker room areas.
Coach/Player Interviews:
All requests for coach or player interviews during the week should be made at least 48 hours in advance with the sports information office. We will do our best to coordinate an interview time that is convenient for both the coach/student-athlete and media member. Due to privacy laws, we do not give out personal contact information for student-athletes. However, if you leave your contact information we will forward it ASAP when making arrangements for interviews.
Photographers:
Due to NCAA rules regarding on-camera flashes in some sports, potential hazards of being on a sideline or courtside, as well as concern over use of images of student-athletes, only media and credentialed commercial photographers are permitted in close proximity to the competition. Proper credentials should be obtained at least 24 hours beforehand. While non-commercial photography is permitted in the stands (i.e.- point and shoot cameras, etc.), it is understood that all non-credentialed photographers are doing so for their personal use and not for any commercial purpose or distribution.
